Administration at Flower Mound High School received an email containing a bomb threat to the campus, this morning. The Flower Mound Police Department was notified immediately and arrived at the school. Although the police determined that the threat was a hoax they still walked the halls to make sure it was all clear.
While the police roamed the campus the school remained in, what administration described as, soft lockdown. In a soft lockdown students kept unaware from a lack of announcements on the intercom while teachers are notified to lock their doors and are informed of the situation at hand. Although the students of Flower Mound are kept informed by the school, they learned about the threat through social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
The police department have left campus, however, the on site resource officers will remain and midterm exams will continue on.
