Last Friday, the varsity football team won their game against the Lewisville Farmers. Right from the start of the game, the Marauders took the lead. Quickly after the Farmers scored a field goal in the first quarter, with the Marauders answering with a touchdown in the second.
After the Marquettes and the band performed their halftime show, the players returned to the field. The Farmers scored another field goal in the third quarter, but the Marauders came back with two touchdowns in a row by the fourth, winning the game.
Both teams shook hands at the end of the game. The final score: Marcus – 28 and Lewisville – 6. The the ax will stay at Marcus for at least another year.
