1) CCA

Christian Community Action, or CCA, helps families in need by providing needs such as food and education. Students must be 16 or older to help at CCA and need to set up an interview and fill out an application.
2) Denton County Friends of the Family

Denton County Friends of the Family is an organization that provides services to people impacted by family violence and sexual assault. Volunteers help with childcare, the thrift store and more. 3) Lewisville Library

Lewisville Library welcomes volunteers to help out with tasks such as shelving books and helping with crafts in the children’s section. Students must go through an orientation before volunteering and can call the number under youth services to sign up.
4) Flower Mound Library

Volunteers may have tasks like shelving books, cleaning books and more. Students must be 15 years or older to volunteer. The positions require volunteers to attend an orientation. Applications are available on the website.
5) Flower Mound Animal Shelter

The Flower Mound Animal Shelter is located right by The Shops of Highland Village. Volunteers will help take care of the animals and can pick up a volunteer application from town hall to apply.
6) Rosewood Assisted Living

Students interested in helping out with the elderly can check out the Rosewood Assisted Living’s website and call Joanne Higgins at 972-890-1656 to volunteer. Tasks will include participating in activities like bingo or cards and just visiting and talking with the elderly.
