Boombas:
Dresscode
The newest changes to the dress code come in handy for students who had desired more wardrobe choices. Now, girls have more freedom in what they wear with the new fingertip rule for their hem length, and guys are able to wear more shorts of their choice. School shopping just got a little easier.
Google apps
Google apps makes group work more collaborative than before. With the technology, students are able to work together online and get the job done. It’s perfect for communicating quickly outside of the classroom and a helpful necessity as classes go paperless.
Library cafe
The school will open its own miniature coffee bar in the library Monday, September 16. While traffic through the area will undoubtedly pick up, the cafe will allow for easy access to caffeine-filled drinks–a growing necessity for busy students. The bistro will carry coffee, smoothies and pastries alike.
Heys:
New bell
The switch to the new bell has upset the ears of many students and teachers. The high-pitched sound distracts from schoolwork or lecturing teachers during third period. Everyone can expect to be interrupted countless times as the shrill scream orders students to lunch.
No football tickets sold at lunch
The fact that football tickets are no longer sold at lunch is an unpleasant inconvenience. To buy a ticket in advance, students must go now online and type in their information. This online process is more of a hassle and adds an additional fee that must be paid.
Parking
Mornings are stressful with the shortage of parking spots. Now,to score a close spot, students must arrive early or drive aggressively to park closer to the school. This generates grouchy moods before the day has started and hectic situations for new drivers who find it difficult to squeeze into remaining places.
