“To the Class of 2020! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey! Many of you I have watched grow up since elementary school and I couldn’t wait for you to walk the halls with me at Marcus. Many of you I was lucky enough to meet these past four years during your time as a Marauder. Regardless of when we met, I love you all the same! You will always be “my special class!” You have brought me more joy than you could ever imagine! Wishing you all the best of luck and I hope you know that S121 will always be open for you to come back and share your amazing stories with me! Love you bunches!”
– Ms. Karbs
“I hope you all have some great adventures when you leave Marcus, but remember your time here fondly! Can’t wait to hear about your accomplishments! Stay in touch!”
– Ms. Hutley
“To my AVID class of 2020- never forget the seating chart strike or the mystery of the missing toilet of 2016. Go forth and conquer the world with that same ferocity and determination. You will do great things!”
– Ms. Hughes
“To my wonderful seniors, I have missed seeing you in my room these past few weeks! I will miss you and your crazy antics. I hope that your time in Latin and JCL gave you good memories (and some excellent grammar and vocabulary skills!) I wish you all the best as you go out into the world. I will always be here for you!
With love,
Magistra Santos

I am so going to miss your surprise visits and seeing your sweet, smiling face in these halls. LOVE YOU SO MUCH! -Mom”

“To all our amazing seniors, we know this is not the way you wanted to end your year at Marcus, but we are so proud of you and your resiliency in such a challenging time. You have accomplished so much in your time here and we know you are all meant for great things in the future!!! Much love!!”
– Ms. Granberry

– Ms. Vara
“I have such a soft spot for this graduating class. As freshmen, you were quirky, funny, compassionate, creative, and wildly intelligent. As seniors, you are even more so. I am so proud of who you are and am so grateful to have been part of your educational journey. Thank you for all the joy you’ve brought me!”
– Mrs. Minich
“To our peeps in the Class of 2020, you guys were amazing to have in class as fishies and it has truly been a joy to watch you grow up! You taught us so many things like the power cry and that bromances come before romances. The poetry slam was like none other and we love you have always come back to support each class since then. I went to my first Holi Festival with you guys and discovered that the red powder doesn’t wash out of blonde or grey hair. Your service projects were top level and so impressive! The field trip shenanigans and what turned out to be a somewhat stalkerish sounding class shirt. Throughout your time at Marcus you have given so much of yourselves and we are thankful and proud of all that you have accomplished and will continue to do! Love you guys and remember you can leave 9th grade AP Humanities but you can never really escape it!”
– Mrs. Jennings
“AVID 2020 Senior Class: It has been my pleasure being your teacher for the last two years. Each one of you will always hold a special place in my heart. I know you’re ready for the next chapter and I can’t wait to see you soar…..so now go find your PASSION and live your best life! ‘Nothing is as important as passion…no matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate.’”
– Ms. Frenzel
“Dear Class of 2020,
It has been an honor for me to watch you grow into wonderful young adults over this past year. Although none of us would have ever imagined an ending quite like this, you have navigated through this uncertain time with grace and style. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you all. You guys really outdid yourselves on your Senior Skip Day and Senior Prank! Rock on!”
– Mrs. Regent
“Dear Class of 2020… as Bob Dylan once opined, The Times, They Are A-Changin’, and for you guys, change did come indeed. We do live in interesting times and your graduating class is surely one of the all-time winners for uniqueness, if nothing else. We in the Western World tend to believe that the Chinese word for ‘crisis’ has a double meaning, signifying both ‘danger’ and ‘opportunity’ respectively… So to the class of 2020, what say you? Are you going to view yourself as the graduating class known for seeing only danger… or the graduating class known for seeing opportunity? The choice is up to you to decide.”
– Mr. Kelly
“Congratulations 2020 Seniors! Wishing you the very best in the next chapter of your lives! We know that you will accomplish great things and can achieve anything that you set your mind to.”
– Mrs. Tarin
“Seniors, my heart is broken to see the year end like this for you. However, you have all proven how resilient you can be in the face of adversity and you will only be made stronger moving forward. I am excited to see everything you will accomplish going forward and the future you will build for our community and society as a whole. Don’t forget to come back and say hi every now and then!”
– Mr. Pike
“Félicitations! Vous nous manquerez! (Congratulations! We’ll miss you!)”
– Mademoiselle Lee
“Class of 2020,
I can’t thank you enough for what I learned from you (yes a teacher/coach learned from his students). I have seen you grow and develop into great men and women of amazing character. Never forget where you came from, and never settle for less than your best. This group is going to accomplish amazing things in this world. Whether it was out on the track, on the cross country course, in my Economics/Psychology Class, or in the halls, the class of 2020 inspired me to be the best teacher/coach I can be. Thanks for the memories!”
Love,
Coach Reinberg
