The Lady Marauders soccer team dominated Forney, 2-0, on Friday, April 4, at Eagle Stadium in Allen to advance to the Class 6A Division II state championship game versus Houston Stratford this Saturday at Birkelbach Stadium in Georgetown at 11 a.m.

On Tuesday night, the Lady Marauders, now with a season record of  18-4-3, defeated Prosper High School, winning on penalty kicks 3-2, after a 0-0 tie through regulation and two overtime periods.

The girls team has now reached the state title game twice in three years after defeating  Wylie East in 2023.

Houston Stratford (22-2-3), defeated Austin Vandergriff, 1-0, to advance to Saturday’s title game.

There will be a “send off parade” this Friday around campus for the Lady Marauders beginning at 8:45 a.m.
