Band Advances to State Marching Competition

Group placed third at regional contest this past weekend

Marcus High School Marching Band placed third at the Area J Marching Band Contest at Mesquite Memorial Stadium on Saturday to qualify for the UIL State Marching Band Contest at the Alamodome in San Antonio this weekend.

There are two upcoming opportunities to see the band’s “In a New Light” contest performance:  Tuesday, November 5th at 7:30 pm at Marauder Stadium, and November 6th at AT&T Stadium at 9:15 pm as part of the US Bands Southwestern Championships. Admission is free at Marauder Stadium, and if you would like to purchase tickets for the competition at AT&T Stadium, click here.
