Matt Hankins, a junior received his first offer to play football for Duke University. His friends and family were ecstatic to hear the big news.

“I was truly happy and thankful,” Hankins said. “I felt truly blessed and thankful for the opportunity.”

Even though Hankins feels like this is a big opportunity, University of Texas is still his dream school.

Although Hankins has a passion for football, he was not always like this. Hankins tells us that when he first started playing he cried because he didn’t want anyone watching him practice.

Hankins strives to one day play in the NFL, which drives him to “keep grinding.”
